Treasure Hunt Liverpool

If you’ve always fancied living out your pirate fantasies, this is the treasure hunt for you. The specially designed route will take you on a scenic wander around the city and point out hidden features you were probably never aware of.

You will be sent messages and clues via your phone by Captain Bess (think Whatsapp for pirates!). Bess will also let you know if you are on track to solve the clues and tell you interesting facts and stories along the way. Let’s Roam Liverpool

Let’s Roam’s Scavenger hunt around Liverpool is another app-based activity that takes you on a scenic tour around Liverpool, taking in art, history and culture on the way. Your aim is to solve riddles, answer trivia questions and complete photo challenges. You also earn extra points for finding hidden treasure and taking photos at locations. Learn more.

World City Trail Liverpool

The World City Trail is a scavenger hunt that takes in 10 of the most iconic landmarks in the city. Starting at the World Museum, you will wind your way around the city using an app navigation system (no chance of getting lost then!). Treasure Trails have a variety of trails that explore different aspects of the city. You might fancy finding out more about Liverpool’s most famous sons, The Beatles, or focus your trail on the city centre and its various landmarks.

The trails are booklet based and are suitable for all ages. Their ‘Lime Street and Beyond’ trail is styled as a spy mission where you solve clues to work out a code that will help you complete your mission. Escape Hunt Liverpool – Operation Mindfall

If you like the idea of living out some James Bond fantasies around Liverpool, then Escape Hunt will be right up your street. When you arrive for your mission, you are given an iPad and action pack to help you on your mission. Once you have been briefed, you have 2 hours to complete Operation Mindfall (think saving the world from an evil corporation who have plans to control people’s minds).

One person in your group will need access to a smartphone with access to the internet and a camera, and the mission will involve roughly 2km of walking, so no high heels! Learn more.

TRSRE (Apple) (Android)

TRSRE is a Treasure Hunt app available on Google Play and is the largest treasure hunt app in the UK. There are hundreds of prizes hidden all around the UK in various locations (including Liverpool!) and your mission is to find them. To get playing you simply download the app, create a free account and search through the trails in your area. They are categorised into easy, medium and hard so there is something suitable for everyone. As you follow the trails you need to keep your eyes peeled for hidden TRSRE stickers. Once you find one you scan the barcode and are entered into the monthly prize draw. The top prize is a cool £2,500!
