September 2019 saw the official opening of NQ64 Liverpool — Liverpool’s brand new retro arcade bar — and it’s truly as awesome as it sounds.
Located in the former Aloha premises on Colquitt Street, NQ64 Liverpool houses retro consoles from the 90s and early noughties, as well as an amazing array of retro arcade games going back even further.
We’re talking Donkey Kong, Pac-Man, Space Invaders, Tron, Virtual Striker, Time Crisis, MarioKart, RoboCop, pinball machines, PS1, N64, Sega Mega Drive, Guitar Hero, X-men, WF-WrestleFest, VirtuaStriker, Tekken, and much more.
The walls of the underground drinking den are covered in glow-in-the-dark graffiti, adding to the retro, dingy atmosphere, and the full bar offers an ever-changing line-up of beers, standard spirits and mixers, wine, soft drinks, snacks, and a selection of sweet cocktails listed in a stunningly-designed menu (classic cocktails are available on request).
If you’re looking for an alternative night out in, or just something to do indoors in Liverpool, this is it.
