Southport Pleasureland Has Expanded!

Southport Pleasureland Reopens

If you’re looking for some good, old-fashioned seaside fun, then Southport Pleasureland will not disappoint. With a brand new roller coaster to add to its already fabulous selection of rides, it is ready to fling open its doors this summer to ensure that visitors young and old have a fantastic day out.

The park is looking better than ever. More green space and picnic areas have been created, and the new rollercoaster, a runaway train ride named ‘The Rocket’, is sure to thrill visitors. The ride is inspired by Stephensons Rocket, the early locomotive built for the Rainhill Trials.

In addition to the new features, Pleasureland still boasts a fantastic range of old-fashioned family favourites such as the ghost train, dodgems and waltzers. Not forgetting the log flume and all the candy floss and ice cream that you can eat!

A special garden is also being created to honour the work of Alder Hey Children’s Hospital. The Alder Hey Children’s Hospital Garden will provide visitors with a quieter, calmer space to retreat to if the noise and excitement of the park gets too much, in addition to raising much-needed funds for the hospital.

Booking is online, and guests can go on as many rides as they want. There is a reduced price for non-riders, and it is free for children under 90 cm.
