FACT Liverpool Returns With Three New Immersive Exhibitions

FACE Liverpool

If you fancy yourself as a bit of a culture vulture and want something different to do with your weekends, then FACT Liverpool has just the thing for you. From 19th May, FACT Liverpool will be welcoming visitors back to Liverpool with the launch of three new immersive exhibitions.

Liverpool Biennial is returning to FACT to present their latest offering, which this season comes under the banner of ‘The Stomach and the Port’ – looking at new ways of connecting with the world through our bodies and the environment.

The three main exhibitions are;

B.O.S.S (Black Obsidian Sound Systems)

B.O.S.S were nominated for this year’s Turner Prize (fancy!) and are presenting a newly commissioned audio-visual installation at FACT. This immersive exhibit combines film, light, sound and a walk-in sculpture and aims to recreate the inner workings of a speaker. Sounds cool!

Zheng Bo

Zheng Bo will be presenting his new commission, which will be the fifth film in his Pteridophilia film series. This film series explores the ideas around queer sexuality and takes it to another level by imagining a world where plants and humans interact more physically. Interesting.

Kiara Mohamed

This Liverpool based artist and film-maker will be presenting ‘Soft Boys’ – a collection of short films which explore the relationships between race, gender, sexuality and self-care. Mohamed draws on his experience as a black trans Somali man in his work, with thought-provoking results.

So, if you fancy an afternoon expanding your mind, look no further than FACT Liverpool this summer.
