Art Collection Liverpool to Offer Grants to Local Artists EVERY WEEK!

Art Collection Liverpool

Everyone knows how badly the arts industry has been affected as a result of the pandemic. From musicians to painters, many creatives have found themselves seeking alternative employment due to a severe shortage of work. Emergency funding has not been enough to keep people in employment, so despite many people seeking solace in music and art during the pandemic, the people who create the art have been struggling.

Art Collection Liverpool is a brand new community fund set up by people who value the arts and want to support the people who create it. They are offering micro-grants to artists that can go towards anything from supplies, studio space, travel, exhibitions and gigs. Members of the community are encouraged to donate anything from £1 and can nominate local artists and vote on who they think should receive a grant.

Every week the team will collect the nominations and award funding to the top four artists in the vote. They have already awarded their first grant (to local musician Kali Diston Jones), and another grant is due to be awarded in July.
