Liverpool Venues To Receive Much Needed Culture Grants

Liverpool Philharmonic

Two iconic Liverpool venues are set to receive a much needed financial boost in the form of a grant from the Governments Culture Recovery Fund. Liverpool Philharmonic is being granted £755,917, with Bluecoat receiving £111,264. Grants from the Recovery Fund are being awarded to help venues such as the Philharmonic and Bluecoat recover and reopen after the financial hit they have taken over the last year.

The Philharmonic will use the money to continue with their planned programme of concerts (both live and online) in addition to delivering their Mental Health programme and continuing their work with their Youth Company.

The Bluecoat will put the money towards reopening safely to visitors for their planned outdoor summer programme. Mary Cloake, Chief Executive of Bluecoat, explains how the funds will benefit Bluecoat;

“This funding will support us in our reopening, with our summer programme, and ensure children have the opportunity to have fun and be creative.”
