FACT to Host Open Air Film Screenings in Hidden Locations!

If you have missed going to the cinema then you will love Cinema in the City. This new programme of screenings is presented by FACT and will take place in various venues around the city from Friday 13th August.

The screenings will feature the best of independent cinema as well as showcasing local talent. And if that’s not enough there will also be delicious food on offer courtesy of some of Liverpool’s most popular eateries.

The screenings kick off on 13th August at the stunning Cotton Exchange Rooftop Garden with open-air showings of Bloody Nose, Empty PocketsAmmoniteApples, The Killing of Two Lovers, Rare Beasts and Stray.
Food will be provided by popular local restaurant, Maray, at their pop-up food stall.

These screenings will take place on 13th-15th August as well as the following weekend (20th-22nd). Further venues and screenings will be announced later in the year along with new food vendors at each venue.

In addition to the big budget films being screened, Cinema in the City is also supporting local talent by screening a variety of short films by local film-makers. These will be shown before the main screening each evening.
