Have Your Say on Liverpool’s 15-Year plan

If you want to have a say in Liverpool’s 15 year plan then you have until 23rd August to do so! The plan has been in the pipeline since 2014 and lays out how the city plans to manage the predicted rise in population over the next 15 years. Plans include developing 370 acres of land, creating 38,000 new jobs and building 35,000 new homes.

The plan includes a whopping 100 policies to tackle this growth in population (predicted to be 47,000) in addition to continuing the vital work of preserving the city’s heritage and controlling developments in the city centre. The plans for housing include building houses that people will be able to stay in throughout their lifetimes and limiting the number of properties that are being turned into ‘homes in multiple occupation’ (or HMO’s for short).

City Centre developments include enabling more growth in the area from the Baltic Triangle up to Ten Streets, and from the waterfront to Paddington Village.

You can read or download the  Combined Schedule of Main Modifications and provide feedback online or by email until 5pm on Monday August 23 by visiting: https://liverpool.gov.uk/localplanmainmodifications
