New Generation Thinkers Liverpool

Two University of Liverpool lecturers have recently been chosen by BBC Radio Three and the Arts and Humanities Research Council as two of their ten ‘New Generation Thinkers‘.

Dr Vid Simoniti from the Department of Philosophy, and Adjoa Osei from the Modern Languages and Cultures Department,  will now get the opportunity to communicate their research and ideas to the broader public by making programmes with the BBC. They will also enjoy a year of mentoring and training from BBC Radio 3’s ‘Free Thinking’ producers!

The two were chosen following a four-month selection process and will appear on BBC Radio Three’s ‘Free Thinking’ programme between April and July, so make sure you keep an ear out for them.

Dr Simoniti, who lectures in Philosophy of Art, says;

“I’m thrilled to be one of the ten New Generation Thinkers 2021.

Over the last three years, my work has been highly informed by Liverpool, which is a fantastic place for thinking about contemporary art. I look forward to relaying some of these ideas to a broader radio audience.”

Great to see Liverpool’s cultural scene reaching far and wide!
