Liverpool’s parks and green spaces will be ringing with the words of Shakespeare once again this summer when Imaginarium Theatre make a welcome return with their performance of As You Like It. Their tour will take in various venues during July and August, including; Sudley House, Crosby Hall, Prescot Woodland Theatre and Royden Park.

Imaginarium consists of 25 community performers led by a team of industry professionals, including Michael Corbridge, Voice Director at the Royal Shakespeare Company. The production is a real community effort with volunteer sewers and makers providing the costumes and set.

As You Like It is one of Shakespeare’s well-known and loved plays and takes the audience on a magical journey through the Forest of Arden. This new, innovative production features a brand new score and breaks away from the gender norms that the audience would expect in a Shakespeare play.

Ahead of their tour of the region, the premiere will take place on 3rd July at the company’s home venue of Prescot Woodland Theatre, where they will return on Saturday 17th July to perform at the town’s first Outdoor Shakespeare festival. So if you want to spend an evening in beautiful surroundings being transported to a magical land, get your tickets while you can.

Tickets available from the Imaginarium Theatre website or by calling the TicketQuarter hotline on 0344 8000 410.
