Home-owners in Liverpool will be celebrating after the news that house prices in the city are now outperforming London! House-hunters, however, will be burying their head in their hands.

A report by Andrews Property Group states that Liverpool house prices have risen by a whopping 16.7 percent since March 2020. The rise is due in part to buyers taking advantage of Government initiatives and property tax savings. Or it could be that people have worked out that Liverpool is an ace place to live!

Liverpool isn’t the only part of the North West enjoying a bit of a property boom. The Andrews Property Group report’s top four property hotspots were all situated in the North West. Liverpool takes the top spot, but Oldham (15.7% rise), Burnley (15.2% rise) and Blackburn (14.2% rise) were hot on Liverpool’s heels. Prices have also soared in Manchester to 13% above what they were this time last year.

With London enjoying a teeny 3.7 percent rise, it just emphasises what Liverpudlians always knew. There’s no better place to live than Liverpool!
