The One O'Clock Gun Liverpool

There’s a new watering hole on the Albert Dock which is well worth a visit if you’re looking for a chilled vibe and great food and drink. ‘One O’Clock Gun’ is the latest venture from the team behind the successful ‘Maray’ restaurant and is their first foray into the pub world. Offering great pub grub and a huge variety of drinks it is sure to be a hit with visitors to the Albert Dock.

In a nod to the Albert Docks maritime heritage, ‘One O’Clock Gun’ is named after the gun that used to fire at 1pm each day at Morpeth Dock to signal to the dock workers that it was time for lunch. There’s no need to wait until 1pm to sample the tasty fare that is on offer at this new venue though. With a menu that includes; pies from Great North Pie Co. served with mash and gravy, sandwiches (with a side of chips of course!) a tasty cheeseboard and charcuterie (all from local suppliers) there is plenty to soak up the beer. Is your mouth watering yet?!

Drinks include a cocktail menu based around tangy sours, draught Guinness and even a special house pale ale created with Carnival Brewery. Live music and weekend DJ’s will also be a feature or if you fancy something a bit more chilled you can sit back and read the newspapers or magazines that will be on offer each day.

Director Tom White says it best when he describes Maray’s vision for their new venture;

“Our mission is for The Gun to be the most welcoming, vibrant and inclusive pub in Liverpool.”

So if you fancy a drink and some gorgeous pub food in a funky new venue, head on down to the Albert Dock.

One O’Clock Gun is open from midday 7 days a week and last orders are around midnight.
